DIY Holiday Décor and Gifts [VIDEO]

When it comes to thoughtful gifts and festive holiday décor, consider a DIY project! In this episode of DIY Friday at the WCCO studio, New Brighton ReStore Manager Jan shares creative ways to spread cheer this winter.

Jan created fun, easy, and affordable decorations for winter and the holidays using items from ReStore. Each DIY project took two to three hours and cost less than $20!

• Giant cocoa and cookie using cardboard, spray foam, and a planter

• Upcycled light-up trees using saws, faucet handles, scrap wood, and paint

She also shared ideas for handmade gifts. Remember—handmade gifts don't have to be perfect. It's the thought that counts! Think about what you like to make and be creative:

• Make music or playlists

• Bake delicious treats or cook a special meal

• Knit something cozy

• Draw or paint beautiful artwork

• Make a unique or personalized craft
