With Jan's creative ideas, you don't have to worry about spending too much money—or too much time—making seasonal décor. Each of Jan's projects cost her $10 or less (thanks to ReStore and local thrift stores) and took no more than a few hours.

• A saw with hot glue and red paint

• A bubbling cauldron with a plastic pot spray insulation foam

• A spooky jack-o-lantern with a five-gallon bucket, saran wrap, and twigs

• A "potion jar" using a block of wood, an old bottle, spray insulation foam, and neon paint
