Many businesses temporarily shut down because of COVID-19 and are slowly re-opening. Now that we're back open and everyone has changed the way we interact with each other for the foreseeable future, we're changing the way we have sales.
The ReStore team is excited to announce that our next big sale is taking place on Saturday, April 21! During this Earth Day Sale (OK, it's actually a pre-Earth Day sale), shoppers can save 30% OFF everything at our Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Restore home improvement outlet locations.
After opening its doors in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis in September 2016, the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity ReStore home improvement outlet has become a staple of the neighborhood. Now, a year and a half later, it has hit a huge milestone: one million dollars in sales. And all that goes right back to making Habitat homes affordable for homebuyers across the Twin Cities.
As you might imagine, there are many similarities between the two Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity ReStores (one located in New Brighton, the other in Minneapolis). They’re both near busy highways, making them accessible for shoppers and donors. They both feature a vibrant and ever-changing assortment of gently-used (or new) items for sale that help fuel Habitat’s mission. And, with a combined total of over 4,000 volunteers, 14,000 donations, and 48,000 shoppers in the last year—both stores are doing quite well.
With the season's festivities quickly approaching, we wanted to make sure to share our holiday hours with our donors, shoppers, and volunteers! These special hours are meant to accommodate scheduled organization celebrations, as well as provide staff time to spend with their families this season.
There are many DIY projects that come about from the use of ReStore materials. We feel lucky to run across the creative minds that make frequent stops to the store, but when we heard about the work of Craig Dorn, we hit the jackpot!
