What can I donate?
Donations are a critical component to making ReStore a success. Please review the list of acceptable items below before dropping off items or scheduling a pickup. Thank You!
All donated items should be clean, pet-free, in working condition, with all parts - no rust, broken parts, mold, or hand painted items. Our donation list below is a guideline only. If you are unsure about your donation, email us or fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Have a vehicle to donate? Check out our Cars for Homes program.

Donation Guidelines
Appliances
Refrigerator, freezer, stove, vent hood, washer, dryer. 10 years or newer. Check www.appliance411.com/service/date-code.php to determine the age of your appliance.
We do not accept commercial appliances, Sub Zero refrigerators, used dishwashers, wall single or double ovens, microwaves, garbage disposals, cooktop inserts, dehumidifiers, or household vacuum cleaners.
Architectural Items
Mantels (factory painted or stained), columns (10 ft. maximum), framed stained glass, wrought iron railings and spindles.
We do not accept gas fireplaces or fireplace inserts or hand painted items.
New Building Materials
Drywall (4′x4′ or 4′x8′). Lumber (6′ or longer). Plywood or OSB (2′x4′ or larger). Baseboard, trim (6′ or longer). Unopened bags of concrete. Metal or plastic shelving.
We do not accept used building materials, used trim, used deck boards, particle board/MDF shelving.
Doors
Residential interior doors (wood, metal, bi-fold, or glass). Exterior doors. New storm doors. New sliding patio doors (72" x 80" or smaller). Remove and bag door hardware.
We do not accept new/used: commercial doors, fire-rated doors, hollow core doors, hand painted doors, exterior wood doors, mirrored doors, shower doors, garage doors or openers. No used storm doors, used patio doors.
New Electrical
Residential and current code only: electrical parts, wire, hardware, outlets, plate covers, and light switches.
We do not accept electrical items like TVs, computers, CD/DVD players, printers, copiers, fax machines, office equipment. No commercial electrical.
Flooring, Carpet, Rugs, & Tile
New carpet only (rolled, 12’ x 10’ to 12' x 20', pick up only). New sheet vinyl (8' x 6' to 12' x 20', pick up only). Clean, unstained, pet free rugs. Three or more unopened boxes of luxury plank vinyl, laminate (US made), hardwood, tile (ceramic, porcelain, or stone). One or more unopened boxes of mosaic tile. Unopened grout, mortar, or adhesive.
We do not accept used flooring or tile. Loose or partial boxes of tile. Partial containers of grout, mortar, or adhesive.
Furniture
Leather/upholstered chairs, couches, loveseats, and hutches (photo required - pickup only). Dining tables and chairs, futon frames, home office desks (4′ or less), bookshelves, side tables, coffee tables. Dressers, nightstands, and beds (must include headboard, footboard, side rails, and hardware).
We do not accept metal bed frames, cribs, mattresses, box springs, futon mattresses, corner TV stands, entertainment centers, built in wall storage, credenzas, glass tables, disassembled desks and bookshelves, reclining sofas, reclining chairs, sofa beds, hide-a-beds, and sleeper sofas. No hand painted furniture.
Hardware & Fasteners
Residential door knobs, hinges, and locks, original boxes of fasteners. Drop-off only.
We do not accept cans or jars of fasteners. No commercial hardware.
Home Exterior
New shingles (3 bundles or more, one year or newer), new insulation (bagged or sheets), new gutters. Seasonally accepted Apr. 1—Oct. 31.
We do not accept used gutters, loose insulation, shingles, shutters, new or used siding, garage doors or garage door openers.
Home Goods
New shutters, framed mirrors, large, framed art, lamps, and clean, unstained, pet free rugs. Drop off only.
We do not accept window coverings including all blinds, curtains, and valences; small household/home décor items, unframed mirror or glass.
New Heating, Venting, and Air Conditioning
Air Conditioners, furnaces, central air systems, venting materials, and water heaters. Residential size only.
We do not accept used heating, venting, and air conditioning including window air conditioners. No commercial HVAC.
Kitchen Cabinets
Cabinets: doors/drawers/hinges attached. 20 years or newer, stained or factory painted. Box cabinets only. Sinks, stainless only. New uninstalled laminate countertop. Cabinet knobs and other cabinet hardware.
We do not accept countertops (granite, manufactured, or used laminate countertops). Non-kitchen built-in cabinets, hand painted cabinets, and custom runs of cabinets.
Landscaping, Lawn & Garden
Brick and blocks, clean and not broken, drop off only. New edging and fencing, lawn or patio furniture, yard tools, gently used grills, working lawn movers and snow blowers (10 years or newer). Seasonally accepted Apr. 1 – Oct. 31.
We do not accept used edging and fencing, loose landscape rocks, gas/oil, gas cans, playground equipment, or dirty materials.
Lighting & Fans
Chandeliers, flush mount lights, pendant lights, and sconces (must include all mounting hardware). Table lamps, floor lamps, new in box LED light bulbs and new in box ceiling fans.
We do not accept shiny yellow brass fixtures, track lighting, fluorescent light fixtures, commercial lighting or used ceiling fans. No non-LED light bulbs or used light bulbs.
Office Furniture
Desks (4’ wide or narrower), office chairs with five wheels, lobby furniture, breakroom furniture, refrigerators, two drawer file cabinets (upright, 16” wide).
We do not accept built-in cabinets, L-shaped desks, metal desks, or executive desks, credenzas, cubicles, conference room tables, white boards, and electronics like printers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
Paint & Stain
We are a drop off site for Paint Care. Please visit www.paintcare.org for more information. Restrictions: Limit: 5 gallons per visit. Must have original label. Paint supplies - brushes, rollers, paint trays. (Drop off only).
We do not accept marine paint, spray paint, two part epoxies. Check www.paintcare.org for more information on recycling options.
Plumbing & Bathroom
New tubs, new medicine cabinets, new shower surrounds, new PVC and metal piping (6’ or longer). Plumbing supplies, sinks (w/o faucets), vanities with top smaller than 5′, 20 yrs or newer.
We do not accept used faucets, used toilets, used tubs, used medicine cabinets, factory molded sinks, cast iron sinks, shower doors, unframed mirrors, water softeners, or commercial plumbing.
Tools
Brand name working power tools. Lithium-Ion cordless power tools. Hand tools. Aluminum or fiberglass ladders. Shop-vacs. Tools must have all factory installed safety features.
We do not accept recalled items, radial arms saws, homemade tools, nickel cadmium or older cordless power tools, or wooden ladders.
New Windows
New complete units with all sashes and frames (6’ wide or smaller). Metal screens. New only.
We do not accept used windows, New or used: single pane windows, fixed pane windows, storm windows, wood screens, shutters, replacement sashes or frames.
We cannot accept the following items
