"The first time I came in, I didn't know if I was gonna be lost or not," John says in our volunteer spotlight video. Starting out as a volunteer, he says the Twin Cities Habitat mission was his north star, even before he found his place at ReStore. "[It] marries up well with my values," John explains, "helping people get into homes and build stronger neighborhoods."
It wasn't long before he found more reasons to volunteer at ReStore. "It's always changing," John says. "That's one thing that I really like about it." Even more: "There's always someone to be paired up with – it kinda helps you get familiar with the store … The culture is real supportive. It's a real fun place to be."
