Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. ReStore!
If you'vevisited one of our ReStore locations before, you probably know that we accept donations of new and gently used home improvement items,...
Spring is coming, and we invite you to put your eco values into action by shopping a very special week-long Earth Day Sale at ReStore! Enjoy amazing savings starting Tuesday, April 21, through Saturday, April 25, at all three metro locations: Minneapolis, New Brighton, and our newest location in Brooklyn Park. Enjoy 10% off all red-tag items and 25% off everything else in the store. That's some big savings over five days!
April is one of the best times of the year to get to know ReStore. While Earth Day puts a spotlight on the environment, sustainability is something we celebrate all year long. Every donation gives quality materials a second life and keeps material out of landfills. And every purchase goes directly to supporting affordable homeownership with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity.
Keep reading for tips to help you make the most of the busy Earth Day Sale, as well as details about donating. We look forward to welcoming you to ReStore and building a greener and brighter future!
Make a list of what you need for upcoming projects and home renovations or specific kinds of items you're looking for —i.e. lamps vs. appliances vs. furniture vs. tile/flooring.
Bring a tape measure - you wouldn't believe how often you need to measure items. We do have a few on hand, but we encourage you to bring your own in case ours are in use.
Arrive early! Our three ReStores will be busy all week, especially Saturday. Stores open at 10 a.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
Shop three store locations throughout the week. New Brighton and Minneapolis are about a 12-minute drive from each other, and New Brighton and Brooklyn Park are about a 15-drive from each other. Head to our Hours & Locations page for more details.
Browse product photos on our Facebook page and Instagram page to get an idea of what we have for inventory. But don't wait until the sale if you see something you like—odds are the item won't be on the sales floor long.
If you're planning on purchasing large items, bring or borrow a vehicle that can transport your item that same day. We will hold sold items for three days if you need to arrange transportation.
ReStore outlets are built on sustainability, as nearly all of our goods are donated. By donating gently used items to ReStore, supporters help keep more than 6 million pounds of reusable materials out of landfills each year—about the weight of 22 blue whales. That's a huge environmental impact! We're here to help take unwanted items off your hands. That lamp, dresser, or the old tool set you don't want? They may be someone else's treasure.
ReStore offers two easy ways to donate:
Drop off your items at one of our donation doors
Schedule a free (or priority) pickup.
Please review ReStore's official Donation Guidelines before dropping off a donation. There are certain items we do not accept, such a mattresses and exercise equipment. If you're unsure, simply fill out our Donation form and upload a picture of your item(s) and a staff member will get in touch with you.
In addition to this week-long sale, we'll be sharing environmental information on our website and social media throughout April to fully celebrate Earth Month. "Like" us on Facebook and update your "Following" preferences to make sure you see our posts. You can also follow us on Instagram.
Watch New Brighton ReStore Manager Jan Hagerman on a weekly Facebook Live segment every Thursday at 2:00 p.m. She tours the New Brighton ReStore, showing off unique items and answering questions.
