Minneapolis ReStore Grand Opening
Twin Cities Habitat will celebrate the Grand Opening of its newest ReStore with three days of events Sept 15-17.
It's with great enthusiasm that Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity announces a new third ReStore location is coming to Brooklyn Park! We're thrilled to share the news with our supporters and look forward to growing ReStore in the northwest metro community.
The Brooklyn Park ReStore will open in 2025 and will be conveniently located off highways 169 and 610, providing more opportunities for local shoppers, donors, and volunteers to engage with and support Twin Cities Habitat’s mission. We'll share specific dates for the soft and grand opening later this summer.

ReStore is a home improvement outlet open to the public, offering quality donated home furnishings, building supplies, and more at a fraction of the original cost. All ReStore revenue directly supports Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, which creates, preserves, and promotes affordable homeownership and advances racial equity in housing across the seven-county metro area.
ReStore also contributes to a more sustainable community, as it diverts useable materials from landfills and encourages reuse, recycling, and upcycling.
"Our existing ReStore Outlets in New Brighton and Minneapolis have seen tremendous success over the years, and this third location will allow us to reach even more people in the northwest metro," said Robin Henrichsen, Director of ReStores at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. "Every purchase and donation at ReStore helps build more homes and create more opportunities for families in our community."
Since the opening of the first ReStore in New Brighton in 2007 and the Minneapolis location in 2016, ReStore has grown into a vital funding source for Twin Cities Habitat’s programs. The net revenue from ReStore sales supports the construction of five Habitat homes each year!
The new Brooklyn Park store spans 27,300 square feet and creates another way to support affordable homeownership initiatives while making it more convenient for northwest metro residents to get involved.
Twin Cities Habitat also builds homes in Brooklyn Park, and this new ReStore location also allows residents to feel more connected to Habitat's mission while making a very local impact.
The Brooklyn Park ReStore will function just like our locations in New Brighton and Minneapolis, carrying a wide range of donated and new products, including appliances, building materials, windows, doors, lighting, plumbing fixtures, furniture, home décor, cabinets, tile, flooring, and more. It will have donation drop-off doors and free and priority donation pick-up services. The new store will employ a Store Manager and several associates and will rely heavily on volunteer support.
ReStore’s impact goes beyond affordable home improvement. Last year alone, ReStore’s two locations:
Think of how much more we can do with three ReStores! "We’re proud to continue growing ReStore’s impact," said Robin. "The new location will make it even easier for people to access affordable home improvement materials and contribute to Habitat’s life-changing work."
There are more than 900 independently owned and operated Habitat ReStore Outlets across the country, and we're thrilled to add one more.
We have a lot of preparation for the new store opening and can use your help in a variety of ways! Most importantly, we need your help to stock the new store with products! Now more than ever we're asking supporters to donate items to our New Brighton and Minneapolis locations, where we're starting to set aside items for the Brooklyn Park store.
Check out our Brooklyn Park ReStore landing page to learn about other ways to get involved, such as volunteering and prepping the space, spreading the word on social media, making a monetary donation to fund needed renovations, and more.
