Mark your calendars and get ready to celebrate 11 years of shopping and saving in the Twin Cities at the upcoming Habitat for Humanity ReStore Anniversary Sale event!
The ReStoration Corner
It's hard to believe, but back-to-school season is upon us, and it will be just a few short weeks until school is officially in session. With that in mind, we're offering some great deals over the next few weeks at our Twin Cities Habitat ReStore outlets, to help ease the painful price tags that can come when this season hits.
If you, or someone you know is headed (back) to college, and needs to furnish a dorm room or apartment, you need to check out our New Brighton and Minneapolis store locations to shop our new and gently-used inventory. Items arrive and are placed on the sales floor daily, and our donation trucks have been busy these last few weeks!
Our stores are constantly receiving tables, chairs, couches, dressers, and more. You can check out our Facebook page to see some samples of our inventory, but hurry in if you see something you like—it's bound to sell quickly!
And even though our prices are already way below retail, we thought we'd make the deals even sweeter for our Hot Deals subscribers and VIPs by offering special savings on furniture just before school starts.
At a very young age, Victoria Lambert found herself interested in the world of architecture and art.
"I always loved rearranging my room and our home whenever my parent’s finances would allow it," she said.
With Father's Day coming up on Sunday, June 17, there may be a few of us out there scrambling to come up with ideas for dad. We've compiled a list of five of our favorite projects that require few materials and can be done in an hour or less!
In late April, our ReStore team partnered with staff members from our Homeownership department to help furnish a Habitat home. The home was then open for the public to visit April 28 and 29 as part of the Minneapolis St. Paul Home Tour.
The ReStore team is excited to announce that our next big sale is taking place on Saturday, April 21! During this Earth Day Sale (OK, it's actually a pre-Earth Day sale), shoppers can save 30% OFF everything at our Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Restore home improvement outlet locations.
Being a first-time homebuyer can be the most exciting time of your life--and at the same time, be incredibly overwhelming. You've saved the money, secured a mortgage, found a home you love, and finally closed on it. But once the last document is signed and the keys are turned over, this beautiful home becomes YOUR responsibility.
No matter if you're a member of a Homeowners Association or not, you're bound to have some maintenance and repair projects pop up in your first few years of owning your home. Never fear! We've asked our knowledgeable ReStore staff to weigh-in and consulted with Mark Larson, who leads Twin Cities Habitat's Maintenance & Repair homebuyer education course, to find out what you should include in your home toolkit.
Whether you're squeezing yourself and several friends or family members into a tiny apartment, or you just have an abundance of stuff that needs some organization, we're going to give you a few tips to make some big changes with limited space.
