Big Donation after the Big Game

Big Donation after the Big Game

Big donation after the big game collage with football.

The big football game is over and a million people recently left the Twin Cities to go back home. Just think about all of the planning, buying, and money spent to accommodate that amount of visitors for a weeks-worth of partying. Event centers, hotels and even outdoor spaces were flooded with fans. Have you ever wondered, what happens to the “leftovers?” We’re not talking about food, we’re talking about the other stuff.

Aspen Branch, an event planning company in Aspen Colorado, needed a little bit of logistical help for a hospitality room they were planning during the Super Bowl. Being located in Colorado, they needed a local organization willing to accept and store items in preparation for their VIP event. They also needed assistance hauling items to the event space and then hauling it away after the event had ended. They reached out to the right people...  here comes ReStore to the rescue!

The ReStore had some extra warehouse space, a box truck, staff, and volunteers to help move items to and from the warehouse and the event space. Most importantly, the ReStore has customers that would buy furniture and other home improvement products once the big game was over!

Aspen Branch generously donated couches, chairs, benches, tables, carpet and other materials from the VIP room experience and is now available at each ReStore location. All of these slightly used items will be sold to ReStore shoppers below retail cost. Among the many items, the "purple rain carpet" (as described by ReStore staff) might be a big seller.

Thank you to Aspen Branch for your generous donation to the ReStore!  Shoppers, head into the ReStore before this stuff sells!
