John Hagerman

John Hagerman is Communications Specialist at Twin Cities Habitat. He is a storyteller who uses the written word, photos and videos to bring stories to life. With a BA and MFA in writing, he looks for stories that connect with and inspire people on a personal level. His goal is to engage people and motivate them to actively support the TC Habitat mission. In the past few years he’s run a customer service training company, worked building homes and schools in Haiti, taught public relations, did digital marketing for American Indian OIC, and wrote two books. He and his wife Jan have also spent a lot of time teaching their son Holden, and daughter Priscilla, the meaning of John’s favorite quote from Winston Churchill, “You make a living by what you get, you make a life by what you give.”
