Safety Tips with ReStore Superheroes [VIDEO]

Safety Tips with ReStore Superheroes [VIDEO]

When you volunteer at ReStore, safety is the ultimate superpower. In our new safety video, superheroes ReStore Ranger and Captain Caution encounter Trip Trap and Doctor Disarray. The heroes save the day by showing would-be villains how to stay safe at ReStore.

  • Keep walkways clear: Cluttered walkways can cause trips and slips. Keep paths and walkways clear.

  • Use ladders properly: Never go all the way to the top of the ladder.

  • Wear appropriate footwear and safety gear: Make sure to wear closed-toe shoes. Also wear proper ear and eye protection to protect yourself from flying debris and loud noises.

  • Be aware of your surroundings: Make sure you know where to find all exits, fire extinguishers, and tornado shelters. No headphones when working.

  • Use proper lifting techniques: Lift with your legs, not your back. Don't lift alone if something is too heavy. Grab a buddy to help lighten the load!
