Whether you're squeezing yourself and several friends or family members into a tiny apartment or you just have an abundance of stuff that needs some organization, take a look at these tips to make some big changes with limited space.

1. Decorative Storage

Utilizing shelves may seem like an obvious solution, but you can also add extra storage space to shelving! Attach containers or baskets to vertical space.

2. Add an Island

If you have extra space in your kitchen, adding an island can create more storage and seating. Islands also add more counter space. You can even make your own island with supplies from ReStore! Check out ReStore shopper Karen's DIY buffet-turned-island for inspiration.

3. Cabinet and Drawer Organizers

Cabinets and drawers can quickly become cluttered. Try adding organizers to drawers, hooks inside cabinets, or additional shelves to cupboards. You be surprised at what you can fit in those spaces with some strategy!

4. Wall-Mounted Lights

Soft lighting from lamps can help make a home cozy and welcoming. But tabletop lights take up space that could be used for other items—or simply left empty for a cleaner, simpler look. Adding sconces or wall-mounted lights can free up space on your nightstands and side tables. This kind of lighting comes in many styles and colors.
