Warmer weather is finally here! Looking for ideas to elevate your backyard space for summer? You won't want to miss this episode of DIY Friday. Jan visited the WCCO studio to share creative ways to give old items new life in your backyard or garden.

With some supplies from ReStore, a little elbow grease, and a dash of creativity, you can transform unused items into stunning statements and more.

Birdbath
Jan made a pretty (and environmentally friendly) birdbath using a lamp base, a resin shade, and plumber's putty.

Two Ideas for Bird Feeders
To make one birdfeeder, Jan repurposed an old light fixture with a chain. She made another bird feeder using soft copper plumbing tubing. These fun DIY projects will bring the birds to your backyard!

Garden or Lawn Décor
Create sparkly lawn or garden art with soft copper plumbing tubing, a drill, and crystals from a chandelier.

Watering Can
Think creatively about what you can use for a watering can outside! Jan had a tea kettle from her grandmother, but it no longer worked to boil water. Now she uses it as a watering can and remembers her family when she waters the garden.
