If you're an "upcycler," you know exactly what that means. For those of you unfamiliar with the word "upcycle," it's a term used for the process of transforming something into a new product. It's really at the core of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity ReStore and gee wiz, we have some fun upcycle projects to show you at this years Minnesota State Fair! Stop by the Eco Experience building on Friday, August 24, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Once again, Jan Hagerman will be featuring a few tips and tricks for transforming cabinets or other furniture at the ReUSE Minnesota booth. In true Jan-style, she'll show you how to make your own chalk paint to save you a bit of money. Jan is a regular on WCCO's DIY Friday segment and offers up some handy tips to anyone looking to make creative things using common and inexpensive items found at  Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

For a limited time, you can buy an assortment of cabinet doors at the ReStore for only $1 each! They normally cost a bit more, but we want to encourage you to try using them for a unique upcycle project of your own.

We hope you stop by Eco Experience this year, and don't forget to follow us on Facebook. We're constantly featuring new products as well as sharing new ideas. Shopping and donating at the ReStore prevents tons of materials from being thrown in landfills. It's the eco-friendly way. It's the Minnesotan way!
