End of year tax-deductible donations to ReStore

As the years come to a close,  so does the opportunity to make your tax-deductible donations for the year!

If you're a business with extra inventory, or an individual that has something great to donate, there's still time to make your donation to one of our local ReStores in New Brighton or Minneapolis.

What can you donate?

ReStore accepts new and gently-used items that are outlined on our Accepted Items List. If after reviewing the list you have additional questions about your items, please fill out the Contact Form on this page. We currently have a special need for plumbing supplies, building supplies, kitchens, and hardware, as our current inventory of those items is rather low.

Making a donation

Our donation pick-up service for individuals is currently booked through the end of the year, but there are a few spots remaining for business donations. Keep in mind that a monetary donation given to our driver to cover the cost of fuel for pick-ups is also tax-deductible.

Any donation, whether made by a business or an individual, is welcome to be dropped off at either one of our store locations during our donation hours.

Donation Hours*:

Tues - Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday & Monday: Closed

*PLEASE NOTE: The ReStore will have regular donation drop-off hours 12/27 - 12/30, and will be open for a few hours starting at 10am on 12/31.

If you aren’t ready to donate now, please consider the ReStore in the future.  This gives you the opportunity to donate inventory, get a tax write off or tax deduction and you help families in the local community.

We also need volunteers!

Helping out at our ReStores is a great way to serve our community—whether you're fulfilling required volunteer hours, or you're just looking to make a difference with a local nonprofit. Explore current volunteer opportunities at our Minneapolis and New Brighton stores.
