Why ReStore?

Written by Becky Engen | Jan 8, 2018 3:30:00 PM

If you're an avid DIYer, home improvement pro, or just called upon to perform home repairs on a regular basis, you know there are a number of stores in the metro area clamoring for your business. So why should you choose to shop at ReStore home improvement outlets? Good question.

1) Every purchase supports Habitat for Humanity

Each time you shop and make a purchase at one of our Twin Cities locations, you're supporting the building of Habitat for Humanity homes in the local community. That's because once we cover our operating costs at each store, the rest of the money generated by sales is used to help sponsor the building of Habitat homes. Last year, Twin Cities ReStore helped build six Habitat homes!

2) It's the green thing to do

We offer a place for businesses and individuals to bring their gently-used or new items that they might otherwise throw out. Misorders, leftover inventory, or items that are just no longer used or needed can be given new life at our stores. Over 940 tons of material was diverted from local landfills and accepted for resale or recycled at our stores last year.

3) Low prices on great products

When you shop at our stores, you're sure to find some incredible deals on quality items. We do not negotiate on the price of our inventory, as the proceeds are supporting Habitat for Humanity's mission. We host larger sales a few times throughout the year and we promote Hot Deals, which are weekly specials on certain items or departments in our store.

4) Treasure Hunting

Because our inventory is donation-based (and those donations are tax-deductible!), you'll never know what you'll find out on our sales floor.

Vintage treasures, unique artwork, one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, or materials with patterns and designs you've never seen before!

We also asked some of our Facebook fans to weigh-in on why they love ReStore:
