In this installment of DIY Friday at the WCCO studio, New Brighton ReStore Manager Jan Hagerman takes a break from upcycling projects—but for a good reason. This time, Jan talks with Heather and A.J. about what ReStore is and how it works.
ReStore is Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity's home outlet (think a combination of a thrift store and home goods or supplies store) with locations in New Brighton and Minneapolis. Twin Cities Habitat builds about 60 houses per year and helps around 150 families. ReStore's annual revenue supports the building of five of those homes! Thanks to donors, shoppers, and volunteers, ReStore also keeps 4.6 million pounds of materials from landfills each year.
ReStore products are donated from people in the community, donated new from businesses, or purchased new. "You might not get everything you need [at ReStore], but we'll save you money on what you can get," said Jan. If you're starting a home project, stop by ReStore first! Our inventory includes the following:
Appliances
Cabinets
Doors
Furniture
Lighting
Tools
Paint
Windows
and more
ReStore is here to help people get rid of things they no longer need, offer shoppers great deals, help the planet, and create affordable homeownership. Supporting ReStore is a win-win-win-win! Sign up for our Hot Deals emails or VIP texts to make sure you get the latest sales and updates.
