Looking for simple, affordable Halloween decorations? In this episode of DIY Friday at the WCCO studio, Jan shares easy do-it-yourself projects to add a spooky touch to your home for Halloween.

Jan explains that sometimes the best ideas come from taking a moment to think outside the box.  Here are some of her creative ideas:

- ****Make adorable **owls **with 4x4 pieces of wood
- Turn cabinet knobs and more 4x4s into **pumpkins**
- Repurpose faded lawn flamingos into creepy **vultures**
- Use plywood or cardboard to create** ghosts** for your lawn
- Make a slimey **optical illusion **with copper tubing and spray foam
- Transform landscape scenes into spooky **artwork **with paper and paint
